Jeweler and Gemologist Task Lights

Dazor is pleased to offer a selection of lights and lamps for your diamond grading, display, and bench needs. Most feature the daylight color temperature required for color grading. Of course, these lamps feature the unique Dazor Floating Arm for exact positioning of the light source. The desk models come with a heavy base for stability, while the bench lamps may be clamped or screwed to a bench, table, or wall. Both desk and bench lamps are available in two or three tube models (each tube is 15 watts). Complete with daylight tubes. Five year manufacturer's warranty.

Many professionals utilize Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs), which represent the greatest technological breakthrough in modern day lighting. They are able to reproduce most of the exceptional qualities of Natural Sunlight. Dazor's new lamps produce pure white light at 6000 ºK which shows diamonds and many other gemstones at their best. LEDs unleash the fire in diamonds by intensifying them with brilliance and scintillation. Double sided diffusion filters soften the LED light to provide a uniform source of pure white light, perfect for diamond grading. The LED Collection is backed by Dazor's unconditional guarantee for one full year.

Fluorescent Lighting Benefits

  • Energy Efficient – Fluorescent lamps only use about 20 to 30% of the energy required by incandescent bulbs for the same amount of light and provide an excellent opportunity for energy savings.
  • Cool Operating Temperatures More than 90 percent of the energy produced by incandescent lights can be heat, not light. By contrast the cool operating temperatures, varied selection of light colors, and long operating life make fluroescent lighting one of the most popular forms of residential and commercial lighting.
  • Varied Selection of Light Color – Fluorescent lights are phosphor-coated glass tubes filled with an inert gas and a small amount of mercury. By using different mixes of gases inside, fluorescents can produce a wide assortment of color light from full spectrum to those that match the warm glow of incandescents.
  • Long Operating Life – Fluorescent tubes last 10 to 20 times longer than incandescent bulbs with average lives of approximately 10,000 hours.
